Charnos Charnos was founded in 1935 by Charles Noskwith as a hosiery company. Throughout the 1950s Charnos became known as an innovator of new ideas in the hosiery industry and as pioneers of stretch yarns in the UK. Charnos was responsible for many firsts including being the first British Company to market ‘Stretch Stockings’ and ‘Run Resist’ stockings.
